The other night, Diana asked me why she is not going to the viewing of KD with us. I civilly told her that funeral viewing is an adult event. She insisted that she should also go since KD is also her friend but I curtly cut her that I might bring her next time. During the program of the viewing in Plainfield church, most of KD’s friends were there and gave tribute to him. As I was listening to them, I was thinking how Diana became a friend to KD who is 9 years older than her. So that night I asked Diana what she remember of KD that she consider him a friend. Diana said ‘He used to carry me in his back and run around the church and I want to see him for the last time’. The following night I brought Diana and Wil to the viewing and Diana sat quietly the entire program listening intently to people paying respect to KD. I watch how KD’s playfulness can affect a young mind. That night, I listened to Diana’s prayer for KD’s safe trip to heaven. Goodbye KD.
